NEPAL-NCSC'S "Dashain Celebrating Program for street Children 2002"
Background:
We found that most of the people go out from valley in Vijaya Dashami to celebrate the festival. Local people of the city celebrate the festival being together, buying new clothes, eating good food, visiting new places, taking bless and blessing other. In this great festival, one group of the society is behind. This group is the street children who are unable to celebrate the festival due to having no guardians and no knowledge about culture and religion. They all are alone in the street where as other are enjoying. No one is there to share our culture and religion and make fun with the street children. No one is there to bless for the bright future of the street children. In that context, Nepal needy children shelter center is going to celebrate Dashain, our great festival with the street children and bless them for their bright future. The Program is named as, "Dashain Celebrating Program for Street Children".
Objectives:
- Participate with street children to celebrate Dashain together and role as their guardians.
- Make them know about our culture and religion.
- Mobilize maximum participants of street children.
- Invite all the people in, to celebrate Dashain with the street children.
