Survey of Use of Internet in Nepalese Handicraft Industry

We the students of Kathmandu University - School of management, in association with OnlyAtNepal Pvt. Ltd. and Handicraft Association of Nepal are conducting a research on the use of Internet in Nepalese handicraft industry.

We are trying to study the effect of the use of Internet on sales of handicraft industries keeping other economic factors constant.

We will be conducting the tests on following hypothesis: -

  • The use of Internet increases sales.

  • Awareness of Internet exists in business world, but the use is minimum.

  • Internet is only being used for basic communication purposes, i.e. e-mail.

  • Every individual feels the need for Internet/WebPages in his business.

This study would be beneficial to the whole of handicraft industry, as it would make them aware of the relationship between the units sold due to the use of the Internet in Nepal.
