Leather Shoes (Men's Leather Shoes)

Location: Parsa/Bara  
Product/Capacity: 300,000 pairs annually (150,000 pairs with goat skin, 60,000 pairs with cow skin and 90,000 pairs with buffalo skin)

Local Raw Materials:
  • Goat leather 420,000 sq. ft.
  • Cow leather 168,000 sq. ft.
  • Buffalo leather 252,000 sq. ft.
Imported
  • Lining leather 187,500 sq. ft.
  • Textile lining 150,000 sq. ft.
  • Others: (Thread, adhesive, sock, sole insole & shark, toe puff & counter, sole adhesive, lasts & dies, packing materials)

  • Electricity 130 KW (249600 KWH/year)
  • Other (water, lubricants, fuel, compressed air, nitrogen etc).
Technology/Process: The process includes designing, marking and cutting, upper folding and closing, lasting, bottoming, welting heel building and finishing.
Employment: 356 nos  
Environmental Aspect: The solid effluents of the shoe section comprise of cut pieces (finished leather, rubber role leather etc). Except rubber cut pieces, other materials can be used for leather board making while the rubber cut pieces can be remoulded to produce the rubber soles.

Milling of raw rubber and other auxiliaries is a bit hazardous. Therefore, it is necessary for the labour to have protective devices such as mouth piece and ear phones for sound pollution etc.
