Imported	Lining leather 187,500 sq. ft. Textile lining 150,000 sq. ft. Others: (Thread, adhesive, sock, sole insole & shark, toe puff & counter, sole adhesive, lasts & dies, packing materials)

Technology/Process:	The process includes designing, marking and cutting, upper folding and closing, lasting, bottoming, welting heel building and finishing.

Environmental Aspect:	The solid effluents of the shoe section comprise of cut pieces (finished leather, rubber role leather etc). Except rubber cut pieces, other materials can be used for leather board making while the rubber cut pieces can be remoulded to produce the rubber soles. Milling of raw rubber and other auxiliaries is a bit hazardous. Therefore, it is necessary for the labour to have protective devices such as mouth piece and ear phones for sound pollution etc. This industry does not require Initial Environmental Examination/Environmental Impact Assessment Report
